Celebration

Celebration is a hallmark of community. Parties, ceremonies, recitals, dinners, toasts, hugs, or cheers can be the medium of an act that uplifts the individuals within or the collective whole of the community. But what makes these rituals so special and sacred? Is is the circumstance, the decorations, the planning or the ritual itself? Or perhaps all of the above? In any event, community celebrates loudly, proudly, and often.
